Member Spotlight: Drewlo Holdings Leads ‘Developing for Change’ Partnership in London, Ontario

Published on 3 Oct, 2025

The National Apartment Council was founded to ensure Canada’s private apartment developers have a strong and unified voice in shaping the nation’s housing future. Our members know that impact is measured not only in homes built, but in the social outcomes those homes create.

This month, we are proud to spotlight Allan Drewlo, President of Drewlo Holdings and a founding member of the National Apartment Council.

Through the Developing for Change partnership with Auburn Developments, The Tricar Group, and Sifton Properties, Drewlo Holdings is helping transform a former long-term care home in London, Ontario into 50 new highly supportive housing units.

The project, delivered in collaboration with Indwell as the supportive housing operator and with support from the City of London, pairs safe, dignified homes with the wraparound supports people need to build stability and independence.

This innovative redevelopment not only repurposes existing infrastructure but also demonstrates how private developers can be catalysts for lasting social change. By leveraging private-sector ingenuity and partnership, the Developing for Change initiative is setting a national example of what’s possible when collaboration drives community impact.

“Our industry has a responsibility to help ensure everyone has a place to call home,” said Allan Drewlo. “Projects like this show how developers and community partners can come together to make a real difference.”

This project represents the leadership and community vision that define the members of the National Apartment Council.
